We went to a birthday party in the art studio last year, and decided to have my daughter’s birthday party there this year. We couldn’t be happier with the experience! Leading up to the party, Sophie’s communication was great, and she always responded quickly to my emails. When we got to the party all of the snacks and cupcakes were set up really nicely, and they had sensory toys and markers & paper to keep the kids busy while we waited for all the guests to arrive. Sophie & Kayla showed all the kids how to make their arts & crafts project and then lead them in some games. They were great with the kids and super helpful throughout the party. All the kids had lots of fun!

I just discovered this place and cannot recommend it enough! The food and bakery are delicious and affordable and support an amazing cause—people with disabilities. Just look at this beautiful loaf of bread! It's a great place to set up shop, read a book, or work on your laptop.

This nonprofit cafe makes the most delicious sourdough bread you can imagine and takes all of its proceeds to help employ and support adults with disabilities and other missions around mental health?! Could there be a better reason to stuff your face full of bread? Friendship Cafe and Bakery hits like home with a mixed staff who are warm, friendly and really are overjoyed to be at work. Some of which are actual graduates of the 12 month employment training program Friendship runs for adults with disabilities to get placed in amazing work environments to support themselves and make (guess what) FRIENDS. The cafe makes coffee drinks, refreshers, teas and other beverages along with every baked good you can dream up. Muffins, cake pops, cookies, cakes, bagels, strudels and delicious loaves of bread. This place also caters any mealtime and touts being able to provide menus that can be: nut free, Kosher, gluten free and dairy free. Customization is key and what they’re there for! The distinguished Head Pastry Chef, Tara Forosisky-Benito, puts all her passion into her baked goods and breads. She’s worked on this particular sourdough starter perfecting its makeup for a little over 5 years! And to make sure that the kitchen is always performing at the highest quality and speed, she’s always 20 steps ahead in terms of prep and early mornings. I got a peek inside the kitchen after I heard all about their nonprofit mission and you could see the creativity popping and the drive to support some of the fellow employees was apparent. Oh, did I mention there’s an art studio space, too? As if they aren’t doing enough, they host art and little workshops like the popular “Art and Baking” for kiddos in the Fall. This cafe is remote work friendly (free WiFi!), has delicious drinks and baked treats all while supporting an important cause. Will definitely be making a bunch of trips back!

We were looking for a coffee shop to grab a little afternoon pick me up and didn't want to go to Starbucks and try out a local place and found this place on Yelp. WE we went in thinking it would be a regular coffee shop/bakery... and I had my camera out as usual, taking a video of first impressions and the little walk took me to their "art studio". Yes, they gave an art studio in the back, with a few artwork hanging, a huge table, and inviting atmosphere. Two ladies saw me taking photos and came over to ask if I had any questions... and I got to have a nice chat and learned that the "cafe" is a nonprofit space for friends with disabilities. Love the inspiration behind the store. Everyone was super friendly. Coffee was great. And I had a nice time. Open inviting atmosphere, with lots to explore if wanted.

I absolutely love the Friendship Circle Cafe & Bakery. My usual order is an everything breakfast bagel and a green tea, sometimes a latte. The cinnamon pull-away buns are a hit. Highly recommend any bread. This is a great place to meet friends or take someone out for a light lunch. The art room in the back is a wonderful place to bring your kids to do a project. Highly recommend!
